Antwerpen

My second stop in Belgium was the city of Antwerpen. And I loved it so much that at the end of my trip I decided to go back once again.
Famous for being a city of international commerce, Antwerpen has one of the biggest ports in the world, with an important economy based on diamond trade, a big street for shopping (Meir street), and also well known for being a capital of fashion design.
If you arrive by train to the Antwerpen Central Station, it will welcome you with its impressive and clean architecture. A monument in itself.
As I was in Antwerpen around holidays, the centrum was full of Christmas Markets, and I must admit they were the favorites of all my trip.
One of my favorite spots in the city was the Museum aan de Stroom. This museum besides being the biggest in Antwerpen, and telling the story of the importante of Antwerpen as an international port, you can go to the roof to have a view of the city, and it's free!
Antwerpen is a must visit in Belgium if you love shopping, architecture, or Rubens.
